6 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Niko Goodrum punished the Braves on Friday night by going 5-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI and four runs from the leadoff spot. Goodrum has now recorded a hit in 10 of his last 11 games, with a run scored in eight of 11. Despite the outburst, Goodrum is still hitting just .230 on the year. His .243 xBA and .319 xwOBA coming into the night, both slightly below league average, don't inspire a ton of confidence for more good things to come. He's been a mainstay as the Tigers leadoff hitter lately, so he'll continue to get a hefty amount of at-bats. If you're in a deep points league that doesn't punish for outs or low batting averages, he's worth a look, but otherwise he can be left on waivers.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
