6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler cruised through Monday night's start at the Arizona Diamondbacks. Buehler went eight innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run while striking out 11 and allowing no walks. The dominant start was particularly encouraging to see on the heels of Buehler's last outing, which was one of his worst of the year -- five innings, seven hits and five earned runs against the Mets last Wednesday. Buehler's effort in Monday's game lowered his season-long ERA to 3.69 and he's now struck out 69 batters in 68 1/3 innings this year. While the Dodgers may restrict Buehler's innings as the season goes on, for now it's best to just keep throwing him out there and taking advantage of his elite upside, which was fully on display Monday. His next time out will be a favorable matchup in San Francisco on Sunday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
