6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara helped fuel the offense on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. He hit his ninth home run on the season off Athletics starter Paul Blackburn in the third inning. Mazara's season so far has been, well, pretty Mazara-like. He's hitting .269 (career average .259) and is just about right on pace for that 20 home run clip he's hit right on the mark in each of his first three MLB seasons. There are a few encouraging signs from his underlying stats, such as his barrel rate increase from 8.5% in 2018 to 10.8% so far this year, but he's still hitting ground balls at an unflattering rate of 51.7%, which will continue to limit his upside. He's a startable outfielder in five-outfielder formats, deep leagues and AL-only leagues, but there doesn't seem to be much hope for a breakout in his fourth season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
