5 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-7 with a double, a walk, and a run scored in an 18-inning 5-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. The Twins MVP-candidate was proclaimed the American League's starting shortstop in the All-Star Game during the extra innings of this game, though he wasn't able to do enough to help the Twins secure the win this one. Polanco is having a breakout year that no one can say they saw coming, as he was drafted near the bottom of fantasy drafts this season. He's slashing .321/.379/.530 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 51 runs scored, and two steals in 2019. Polanco doesn't strike out or walk much, but he hasn't stopped hitting all year and he's playing at a premium position in the top offense in the MLB. Continue to hold onto and start Jorge Polanco in all fantasy formats.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
