Darren Collison Retires
5 years agoPoint guard Darren Collison, who spent the past two seasons with the Indiana Pacers, announced on Friday night that he is retiring from the NBA. Collison averaged 11.2 points and 6.0 assists while starting 76 games for Indiana this past season. He was expected to be a popular free agent target for contending teams in need of a veteran point guard this offseason, but his retirement puts an end to that. The Pacers will have to find themselves a new point guard in free agency or re-sign Cory Joseph, but either way there's an opening for someone to step into a larger role in Indiana.
