5 years agoWith Kyrie Irving reportedly on his way to Brooklyn, the Boston Celtics made quick work of finding a replacement, agreeing to a deal with former Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker. Walker took two more shots per game than Irving last year, averaging more points but scoring at a less efficient rate. It’s unclear what the Celtics will look like and how much of the offensive load Walker will be asked to carry, but he’s likely to play a role similar to what Irving had last season. In that scenario, we’d expect a slight reduction in Walker’s per game averages as he won’t have the ball as much and will have a secondary scorer, Jayson Tatum, who’ll allow him to do less than he did in Charlotte. Walker will still be a solid fantasy player, but his overall ceiling is just a little lower this season than it was with the Hornets.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
