Dwight Powell Agrees To Extension With Mavericks
5 years agoThe Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a three-year deal to keep power forward/center Dwight Powell. Powell is coming off his best season, averaging 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds on 59.7 percent shooting in 21.6 minutes per game. Powell shot 79.7 percent at the rim last year and should continue to be a rim running threat, though his overall production could be cut a little if Dallas can agree to an extension with Kristaps Porzingis, who would take away some of Powell’s opportunities. Still, he’ll likely be the first big off the bench for a team that’ll be looking to score on lobs, so Powell can be a productive player at a later-round ADP.
