Julius Randle Plans To Sign With Knicks
5 years agoFree agent power forward Julius Randle appears to be the backup plan for the New York Knicks after the team missed out on all the big fish of free agency, as Randle and the team have agreed to a three-year deal for Randle to join the Knicks. While the move clears out room for Zion Williamson to move into the Pelicans starting lineup immediately, Randle’s move to the Knicks could pay dividends for him from a fantasy perspective. Randle averaged 21.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game last year for a Pelicans team where he wasn’t the team’s first option; in New York, Randle might end up as the team’s leading scorer based on the team’s construction. Randle has a chance to put up 25 points and 10 rebounds per game as a volume guy for this Knicks team and he could be one of the biggest fantasy risers of free agency.
