5 years agoPoint guard J.J. Barea will remain a member of the Dallas Mavericks for the upcoming 2019-20 season, reportedly inking a veteran minimum contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Barea sustained a torn Achilles tendon in January, which has put the start of next season in doubt as it pertains to his return. At age 35, Barea will be entering his 14th NBA campaign, and 11th as a member of the Mavericks organization. Despite averaging 19.8 minutes per game last year, Barea was able to accrue 10.9 points and 5.6 assists per contest, which will keep him on fantasy radars for those in deeper leagues.--Jesse Borek
