5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Naz Mitrou-Long served as the team’s de facto point guard during Monday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the Summer League opener, dishing out eight assists, the most of any player to take the floor. Mitrou-Long was uber-aggressive on the offensive end, finishing 6-for-16 from the field, including 2-for-8 from long range. In addition to his four rebounds and two steals, Mitrou-Long committed six turnovers. Having logged 15 games off the bench for the Utah Jazz over the past two years, Mitrou-Long appears to have a substantial opportunity with the Cavaliers.--Jesse Borek
