Rodney Hood Agrees To Two-Year Deal With Blazers
5 years agoShooting guard/small forward Rodney Hood was acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers for their playoff run last season, and is now set to commit to the organization with a two-year deal worth $16 million, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Hood averaged 9.6 points per game across 27 regular-season contests, but found his groove during the postseason, where he logged seven double-digit scoring performances, including a 25-point barrage in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Nuggets. With Maurice Harkless and Evan Turner out and Kent Bazemore coming in, how Hood’s role plays out over the course of the upcoming year remains up in the air, but he’s likely to serve as a primary scoring option no matter the circumstance.
