5 years agoSacramento Kings shooting guard/small forward Hollis Thompson racked up the fouls (eight) during Tuesday’s Summer League defeat to the Miami Heat, but he also finished as the team’s leading scorer with 18 points in 24 minutes on 7-for-12 shooting. The 28-year-old Thompson is attempting to find his way back onto an NBA court for the first time since 2016-17, having since played internationally in Greece and Germany. Thompson knocked down a trio of triples and snatched five rebounds Tuesday, making a case for a role on the Kings to open the upcoming season.--Jesse Borek
