5 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yolmer Sanchez (hand) was lifted from the third inning of Thursday's game after an incident on a pick-off attempt. While Sanchez was on first base following a single, Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd attempted to pick him off. During the play, Sanchez dove toward the bag and his right hand was stepped on by Tigers first baseman Niko Goodrum. His hand was bleeding and he left the game with a towel wrapped around his hand as Daniel Palka came in to pinch run. The injured hand is Sanchez's throwing hand, which of course isn't good news. The White Sox should have an update on the injury later today, so stay tuned.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
