DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/6/19): MLB DFS Lineups

Saturday brings us a nice even split slate, with a slight slate towards the afternoon. However, the only featured slate on DraftKings can be found in the evening, and therefore that is where we will focus our attention.

There will be no surprise to see the Astros and Dodgers as the two biggest favorites on the slate. Interestingly, the Mets are near -150 favorites against the Phillies, but that is a game which could see pitchers negated by potentially hitter-friendly weather. The biggest total can be found in the Oakland and Seattle game, with the smallest total being in San Francisco. However, given that Madison Bumgarner is not the pitcher he once was, and Miles Mikolas has struggled at times, so the low projected total could offer up some value for the hitters.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/6/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Be sure to also check out all the Vegas Odds for today's slate. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Gerrit Cole, HOU (vs. LAA) - $11,100

It is really hard to know what to do with Cole sometimes because he can be inconsistent. However, the options on this slate are questionable, especially given the treatment Lucas Giolito got the last time he faced the Cubs. What Cole does offer you is an insanely high ceiling, as he has 93 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings at home this season. The Angels are a solid hitting team, but they rank just 14th in slugging, so Cole should be able to limit the damage they can do. He is definitely a risky option, but the ceiling on a strange slate for pitching is too hard to pass up.

Jon Lester, CHC (@ CHC) - $7,200

I am doubling down on the risk here because the weather in Chicago is going to be extremely hitter-friendly. Lester has also had his issues on the road, with a 5.67 ERA, but he does average a strikeout per innings in those games. This is definitely more of a GPP play because if the White Sox are on they could cause him some damage. However, the Sox are a team which ranks 21st in slugging, as well as 25th in home runs and runs scored.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C - Josh Phegley, OAK (@ SEA) - $3,700

It has been a solid season for Phegley, but his numbers against left-handed pitchers particularly stand out. This year with lefties on the mound he is averaging a home run ever 20 PA, has a .316 batting average, a .263 ISO and a .368 wOBA.

1B - Daniel Vogelbach, SEA (vs. OAK) - $4,300

Vogelbach has blown hot and cold this season, but he still has 20 home runs already on the season. 18 of those 20 home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, and he also has a .277 batting average, .317 ISO and a .420 wOBA.

2B - Jose Altuve, HOU (vs. LAA) - $4,200

Altuve has mind-blowing numbers against left-handed pitchers this season. He is averaging a home run ever 10.2 PA, has a .348 batting average, .391 ISO and a .454 wOBA. Andrew Heaney has not been incredible this season, and Altuve should have every chance to add to his numbers against lefties.

3B - Pablo Sandoval, SF (vs. STL) - $4,200

This one was a tough selection because there is a lot of half-picks at this position. However, I went for Sandoval because he has hit all 10 of his home runs off of right-handed hitters, has a .303 ISO and a .366 wOBA.

SS - Paul DeJong, STL (@ SF) - $3,500

DeJong has been a consistent producer this year, averaging eight points per game on DraftKings. Being in San Francisco against Madison Bumgarner is not an ideal situation, but DeJong has a solid .361 wOBA against lefties. The price point here is really nice if you want to save a little cash at this position.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Joc Pederson, LAD (vs. SD) - $4,300

Things have been dwindling for Pederson over the last month or so, but he has started July hot, hitting for .300. All 20 of his home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, but more importantly, 15 of those have been at home. In addition, he is also hitting .270 at home against right-handed pitchers, giving him a .432 wOBA to go with a .435 ISO.

Jake Marisnick, HOU (vs. LAA) - $3,900

Much like Altuve, Marisnick is bossing it against left-handed pitchers this season. The outfielder is hitting, .339 against lefties, with a .304 ISO and a .432 wOBA.

Jose Martinez, STL (@ SF) - $3,500

Martinez is finally getting his opportunity to be a regular in St. Louis, and he is taking advantage, especially against left-handed pitchers. So far this season, he has hit .360, with five home runs, a .380 ISO and a .463 wOBA against lefties.
