5 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell (elbow) will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove loose body in his elbow. The Rays expect that Snell will pitch again this year with the potential for a September return if all goes well. This is of course rough news for Snell's owners, but at least it doesn't appear to be season-ending at this point. Snell has been a bit of a disappointment this year with a 6-7 record, 4.28 ERA and 1.25 WHIP, but his 1.13 ERA through three starts in July inspired some confidence going forward.
