Kyle Seager (3B, SEA) - Week 21 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 26% of Yahoo! leagues

ANALYSIS: Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager has a reputation as a slow starter. While he's consistently finished with around 20 home runs, around 75 RBI and around a .270 batting average, it usually takes him a few months to heat up.

His 2018 season was a career-low, and he missed the first few months in 2019, so when he got off to a slow start in May/June, he was well off most people's fantasy radars.

But like clockwork, Seager has begun to heat up at the dish. Since July 1, Seager is slashing .266/.313/.548 with nine home runs, 22 RBI and 19 runs scored. His three home run performance against the Detroit Tigers finally put him back on the map, and he has steadily climbed up in fantasy baseball ownership.

I'd expect Seager to continue to hit around .265 with a 7-8 percent walk rate and decent power numbers for the rest of the season, which makes him rosterable in 14+ team leagues - and could make him worth a look in 12-teamers for those who lost their starting corner infielder to an injury.
