Kirk Cousins A Low-End QB2 Against Packers
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was a fantasy disappointment in Week 1, passing for just 98 yards on a career-low 10 attempts against the Falcons. His low-usage was due to the Vikes being up early, and it's far more likely that Cousins will need to throw more against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. The Packers showed off a rebuilt and rejuvenated defense to open the season against the Chicago Bears, racking up five sacks and causing disruption all night. They could get pressure on Cousins in Week 2 - the Vikings offensive line ranked dead last in pass protection in Week 1 (per PFF). This game should be closer, though, as the Packers are favored by three at home and the rivalry almost always produces a tight contest. Slot Cousins in as a low-end QB2 in standard leagues. He has limited upside and a scarily low-floor in daily formats - there are likely better plays at a similar salary.
