5 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher J.A. Happ has quietly been on a solid run in September and that continued on Wednesday against the Rays. Happ entered the game in the second inning after opener Jonathan Loaisiga and went on to pitch five innings, allowing four hits, one walk and one earned run while striking out six. Happ now has a 1.65 ERA with 28 strikeouts and nine walks over 27 1/3 innings in September. While he's likely done pitching for the regular season, the impressive showing in September bodes well for Happ and the Yankees in the postseason.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
