Rays Down Astros 4-1 to Force Game 5
5 years agoThe Rays bullpen stepped up huge, allowing just one run over nine innings of work. Diego Castillo started it off, but Ryan Yarbrough and Nick Anderson did the bulk of the work. Blake Snell came in for two batters in the ninth and closed it out with runners on first and third. On offense, the Rays scored three of their four runs in the first inning off of Justin Verlander. He calmed down, but the Astros were never able to make up the deficit. This series will go to Game 5 in Houston on Thursday night, when Tyler Glasnow and Gerrit Cole will face off.
