5 years agoDallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis returned to the basketball court on Wednesday, playing in his first game since February of 2018. The former New York Knick welcomed himself to his new team with 23 points on 43% shooting from the field. What should encourage fantasy owners is the seven times that Porzingis got to the free-throw line. For his career, the unicorn from Latvia has averaged 4.1 attempts per game from the charity stripe. This is a good sign that Porzingis has fully recovered from the torn ACL in his left knee. Fantasy owners that drafted him should start him with confidence against the Pelicans and Trail Blazers to close out Week 1.--Euan Leith
