5 years agoWashington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura posted a double-double in his NBA debut against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Although the Wizards took the loss, the ninth pick in the 2019 NBA draft had 14 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Hachimura was 7-for-15 from the field but went 0-for-3 from downtown. He should continue to see plenty of playing time at the power forward position going forward, as Davis Bertans was the only other forward on the Wizards roster to play more than 20 minutes. Hachimura will look to carry his opening-night momentum into a Friday night matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.--Euan Leith
