Andre Drummond Posts Historic Opening Night Double-Double
5 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond delivered one of the more memorable opening night performances in recent memory during Wednesday’s win over the Indiana Pacers. Traditionally a double-double machine, Drummond took it to the next level when he finished with 32 points and 23 rebounds across 41 minutes. If that weren’t enough, he also added four blocks, three steals and two assists to further launch his fantasy performance into the pantheon of elite. Without the presence of Blake Griffin in the frontcourt, Drummond took on an increased role and then some. With his DFS price tag hovering around the same number heading into Thursday’s matchup against the up-tempo Atlanta Hawks, Drummond figures to be one of the most popular players on the slate and with good reason. Boasting one of the highest floors of any player in the league, Drummond’s 2019-20 campaign got off to an MVP-esque start from night one.
