Myles Turner Goes For 25 Points In Season Opener
5 years agoIndiana Pacers center Myles Turner drew the tough matchup of having to slow down Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond on Wednesday, but ultimately the fifth-year big man delivered his own impressive statistical performance. Turner racked up 25 points on 9-for-15 shooting, including four made triples -- all of last season Turner made four threes in a contest twice. And while he fell a rebound shy of a double-double, blocks -- his most consistent fantasy asset -- were accrued as well, turning away three shots in addition to adding two steals. There will be a handful of mouths to feed in the Indiana offense, but Turner remains the unquestioned defensive leader and is a solid candidate to take a significant leap during 2019-20.
