Raiders @ Texans

Over/Under Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: Deshaun Watson over 285.5 passing yards and Derek Carr over 263.5 passing yards.

This game has the makings of a shootout if Derek Carr and the Raiders can keep pace with Watson and the Texans. I think they will be able to based on the inability of the Texans' secondary to defend the pass. Vegas tends to agree as the total is set as the highest on the board at 51.5 with Oakland's implied total being right around 23.

Both of these teams allow quarterbacks to dominate games. The Texans are currently allowing the most total passing yards to quarterbacks (2,062), and are also allowing 294.5 yards per game, which ranks third behind only the Bucs, and you guessed it, the Raiders. Oakland has been atrocious against the pass this season by allowing over 300 passing yards per game to the quarterback position. Just last week, they allowed Aaron Rodgers to put up a perfect quarterback rating en route to throwing for 429 yards and five touchdowns. This game should be a fun one to watch, and I think both quarterbacks throw for a ton of yards.

Giants @ Lions

Fantasy Challenge Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: Saquon BarkleyGolden Tate, and Kenny Golladay over 52.50 fantasy points.

This game has the second-highest total on the board at 49. It is a game that I feel has a lot of fantasy potential amongst several players. Let's start with Saquon. The Lions currently allow 115.8 rushing yards per game to the running back position, which ranks second-worst only behind the Miami Dolphins. They have also allowed running backs to catch 31 balls for 336 yards, and have allowed 10 total touchdowns to the position. All of this equates to the Lions allowing 25.9 fantasy points per game to running backs. Saquon should have a field day against this defense as he is currently averaging over 17 touches per game. This total includes the Tampa Bay game Week 3 in which he left early. Remove that game and he is averaging nearly 20 touches per game. He should have no issues putting up points this week.

The Lions also have not been great against the pass, although they are better vs. the pass than the run. They are currently allowing over 13 receptions for over 175 yards and one touchdown per game to the wide receiver position. They also allow 22.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Enter Golden Tate. Tate has been a target monster since being inserted into the Giants' lineup. He averages over eight targets, five receptions, and 65 receiving yards per game. Another aspect of this game that cannot be quantified is the revenge factor. Last season, Tate was traded away from the Lions to the Eagles and has since signed with the Giants. I always feel like players returning to play against a team they were traded from have a little more motivation to perform well.

Lastly, Kenny Golladay has a solid matchup vs. the Giants secondary. The Giants are allowing 189 yards per game to wide receivers and have also allowed them to score eight touchdowns in seven games. They give up an average of 13 receptions to the position as well. Golladay has been Matthew Stafford's favorite target thus far, averaging just under 8 targets per game. He has also put up two games with fantasy point totals above 23 and two games with fantasy point totals above 14. He should be in line for a solid day, especially after being slightly neglected last week vs. the Vikings.

Eagles @ Bills

Over/Under Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: Carson Wentz under 255.5 passing yards and Josh Allen over 220.5 passing yards.

Honestly, it feels like these totals should be flipped for these two quarterbacks this week. Although Josh Allen has not thrown for over 220 yards since Week 3 vs. Cincinnati, he gets an incredibly favorable matchup this week against the Eagles. The Eagles have the second-worst pass defense in the league. They are allowing quarterbacks to throw for 287.9 passing yards per game. Aside from this, they boast a very stout run defense in which they only allow running backs to rush for 68.7 yards per game. I think this is a game where Allen will have to use his arm in order to win this game, regardless of the score. The Bills rushing attack is not that superb to begin with, so facing an Eagles Defense like this will only force their hand.

The Bills Defense is stout up front and in the secondary. They currently are only allowing quarterbacks to throw for 215 yards per game. While Wentz has had some big games where he has eclipsed this 244.5 total, they have come against the likes of Washington, Detroit, and Minnesota. None of these defenses are great vs the pass. When he has faced solid pass defenses like the Jets and Cowboys, he has failed to reach even the 200-yard mark. The same should hold true vs. this Bills Defense. I am surprised his total is set as high as it is, and it likely plummets leading up the kickoff.
