Mike Conley Falls Flat In Second Straight Game
5 years agoUtah Jazz point guard Mike Conley had another disappointing fantasy performance against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. In his new team's 95-86 loss, Conley only hit three of his 11 shots from the field and was also 1-for-5 from the three-point line. Through two games, Conley is 4-for-27 and 1-for-11 from deep. Those percentages of 14.4 percent and 9.1 percent are not doing fantasy owners any favors in week one of their season. Obviously, owners should not overreact too much to a two-game sample size, but this is not what they wanted to see from a player that was drafted in the first five or six rounds in many leagues. Conley's life does not get any easier over his next six games as he will face the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers twice each and then has a meeting with Ben Simmons on November 6th against the Philadelphia 76ers. Owners should prepare for a frustrating start to the season for Conley, but eventually, their faith in the newest member of the Jazz will be rewarded.
