5 years agoGolden State Warriors shooting guard/small forward Alec Burks is questionable to make his season debut during Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a sprained right ankle. Without Burks in the rotation, head coach Steve Kerr deployed both Jacob Evans and Jordan Poole for more than 20 minutes in Thursday’s season opener. Burks is expected to be a vital cog in the Warriors’ second unit, although how soon he is able to dial up a double-digit scoring average over multiple games remains to be seen.--Jesse Borek
