5 years agoDallas Mavericks guard/forward Luka Doncic continued his brilliant start to the 2019-20 campaign during Sunday’s defeat against the Portland Trail Blazers, even as he scuffled from three-point range. Doncic totaled 29 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists, keying the Mavericks’ offense over a team-high 38 minutes, but he also shot 2-for-11 from long range. Irrespective of the rough shooting patch, owners are over the moon with the production that the second-year Slovenian has delivered. Doncic appears unlikely to slow down anytime soon, making him a hot commodity ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with the Nuggets, whom he delivered a pair of double-doubles against last season.--Jesse Borek
