Bobby Portis Erupts For 28-Point Outing Against Former Team
5 years agoNew York Knicks power forward/center Bobby Portis had Madison Square Garden chanting his name during the team’s win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Portis, who spent the first three and a half seasons of his career with Chicago, came off the bench and dropped 28 points on 10-for-14 shooting, tossing in 11 rebounds for his first double-double in a Knicks uniform. He hadn’t made a three-point bucket the entire season, yet buried all four that he attempted against the Bulls. His minutes have heavily fluctuated in the early part of the year but he will likely retain fantasy value in 10 or 12-team leagues due to his scoring ability alone. New York next faces Orlando on Wednesday.
