5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum may have been on the second leg of a back-to-back following an elite scoring performance, but rather than having that diminish his play, it appeared only to inspire it Monday against the San Antonio Spurs. McCollum notched 27 points across 38 minutes, shooting 10-for-22 overall, including 3-for-6 from long range. In addition to the five assists and three rebounds, the fact that McCollum again exceeded the 20-shot mark is encouraging for fantasy owners who are dependent on his explosive scoring. He’s likely in line for another hefty workload when his squad squares off with the Thunder on Wednesday.--Jesse Borek
