Derrick White Pours In 21 Points Off Bench
5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Derrick White has had to acclimate to his role as bench scorer to open 2019-20, and Monday against Portland, he finally found his rhythm. After averaging 9.5 points per game to start the year, White went for 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting in his team’s victory. He offered little by way of additional stat contributions over his first two games, but collected five rebounds and added three assists without turning the ball over versus the Blazers. With San Antonio’s backcourt firing on all cylinders early in the year, there’s not likely to be an abundance of advantageous matchups from a DFS perspective. White holds traditional fantasy value in deeper leagues, although owners will have to roster him knowing his ceiling is capped.
