5 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving scored a season-low 22 points on Friday night but countered with a season-high 10 assists. In the Nets 123-116 win over the Houston Rockets, Irving posted his worst shooting night of the season. He was still able to get the first double-double of his Nets career, though, so fantasy owners should not be too upset if this is going to be a "down" night for Irving. The Nets and Irving will travel to Detroit for the second half of a back-to-back on Saturday against the Pistons. Irving averages 21.2 points, 5.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 23 games against the Pistons, but that was mostly with a LeBron-centric offense. He should surpass those numbers on Saturday night against a Detroit defense that is in the bottom half of the league against guards this season.--Euan Leith
