5 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small/power forward Kyle Kuzma checked into his first game of the season during his club’s overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. Understandably, Kuzma, who was bothered by an ankle ailment earlier in the year, looked a bit rusty on the offensive end of the floor, shooting 3-for-8 overall, including 0-for-4 from three-point range. Ultimately, he led the Lakers’ bench with nine points in his 19 minutes, adding three rebounds. The team is likely to ease him back into his role, so keep tabs on his usage Sunday against San Antonio.--Jesse Borek
