5 years agoDallas Mavericks point/shooting guard Luka Doncic shook off both early foul trouble and three stitches to close a laceration in the back of his head to deliver a masterful triple-double performance Friday versus the Los Angeles Lakers, which included a career-high 15 assists in the defeat. The triple-double was the 10th of his career, as he finished with 31 points on 10-for-23 shooting, also adding 13 rebounds. The Dallas offense remained dependent on Doncic for consistency, which bodes well for his future fantasy prospects. Barring a downturn in status stemming from the gash that was opened Friday, figure Doncic to be available Sunday against a Cleveland Cavaliers squad that is unlikely to be able to contain the second-year star.--Jesse Borek
