Week 10 is here! Welcome to another lovely week of college football! Florida and Georgia will battle off in the best game of the week, but it doesn't have many fantasy implications. We do have two games with a 71 total, however, so there will be plenty of offense to play with. Let's get to it!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the late slate of games on FanDuel and DraftKings on 11/2/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.
It's an extremely fun slate ahead of us, with more than enough offense to go around. I'll be breaking down the later slate in a different article, so make sure to keep an eye out for that as well. Let's dive into some of the top plays at each position. You can follow me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. I will be around all day to answer questions.

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks
Shane Buechele - SMU - FanDuel $9,800 / DraftKings $7,200
We’re going to be all over this Memphis - SMU game that’s going to be extremely high scoring and fast-paced. We’re currently looking at a 72 total with Memphis favored by six. Buechele will likely throw the ball 50 times in this game and 300 yards shouldn’t be an issue. The Memphis defense has been a lot worse against the pass and have given up 30+ points to far inferior opponents. Buechele is the cash game play here and you don’t have to overthink it.
Brady White - Memphis - FanDuel $8,500 / DraftKings $7,300
On FanDuel, Brady White is simply too cheap. I still think Buechele is a tiny bit safer, but the price certainly plays a role. White has been consistent of late and this SMU pass defense is simply terrible. White is a safe cash game play and if he can find the end zone three or four times. On DraftKings, I definitely like Buechele a lot more in both cash games and GPP’s. While Brady White is safe, the Memphis offense is still based around Gainwell on the ground.
Steven Montez - Colorado - FanDuel $9,100 / DraftKings $6,800
Montez is a guy that is impossible to predict. He faced a terrible defense two weeks ago in Washington State and looked beyond terrible finishing with just two fantasy points. He then bounced back and put up 30 against an average USC defense that’s a lot better than WSU. He now gets UCLA, which is the worst defense Colorado will face all season long. Montez has a ton of upside and I don’t expect him to be over 15% owned. You can pair him with Shenault and get ahead on the field if Montez is on his game.
Also Consider - Justin Herbert, JR Plumlee
FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Running Backs
Kenneth Gainwell - Memphis - FanDuel $10,300 / DraftKings $8,300
We can’t ignore what Gainwell is doing. He now gets one of the best possible match-ups against an SMU team that plays fast and has a bad defensive line. Gainwell is likely going to be over 25 fantasy points once again and has the upside to hit 50. Memphis is a six-point favorite in a game with a 72 total. Gainwell is the focal point of this offense and he’s a must-play in all formats for me.
Xaver Jones - SMU - FanDuel $9,700 / DraftKings $7,700
Full disclosure, I must prefer the Buechele-Gainwell approach to this game, but Xavier Jones has also been one of the best running backs in all of the nation and he’s going to be a big part of the SMU attack. With Roberson Jr. out, he’ll get a few more looks through the air and can find pay dirt any time he touches the ball. Gainwell and Jones are both top plays at running back.
Tavien Feaster - South Carolina - FanDuel $8,300 / DraftKings $5,300
With Rico Dowdle out of the picture, Tavien Feaster has been getting the volume and doing damage with it. He’s been over 15 carries in three of the last four games and faces off with an utterly terrible Vandy rush defense that’s allowing 200 yards per game on the ground. Feaster is a lock in the mid-range.
Also Consider - Joshua Kelley, C.J. Verdell, D.J. Williams
FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers
James Proche - SMU - FanDuel $9,100 / DraftKings $7,400
With Reggie Roberson Jr. out, Proche is expected to see an even bigger workload. That means we can expect close to 15 targets here. The Memphis pass defense isn’t anything to worry about and Proche is a lock for 150 yards. He’s the top wide receiver on the slate and you can fit him pretty easily. Don’t think twice.
LaViska Shenault Jr. - Colorado - FanDuel $8,900 / DraftKings $6,400
It’s pretty clear that LaViska Shenault is back and he now gets to face off with a terrible UCLA defense. We touched on them with Steven Montez, and Shenault is the guy you want to pair him with. This game has a total close to 70 and I suspect Colorado will finish with well over 30 points. Shenault is the second fiddle at receiver to Shenault Jr.
Kylen Granson - SMU - FanDuel $6,500 / DraftKings $4,000
With Roberson Jr. out last week, it was Kylen Granson that turned into the secondary target for Shane Buechele. He’s a 6-foot-3 big-bodied tight end that is reliable in the red zone and as a blocker. Granson is an excellent value play in all formats and I’m not sure the field will catch on. Granson is my default way to get value on this slate
Demetric Felton - UCLA - FanDuel $8,700 / DraftKings $6,700
I can’t stand how much I like the upside of Felton in this game. He’s certainly risky, as you can tell by his game logs, but the guy has a ridiculous ceiling. He’s the favorite of Chip Kelly and this defense should allow him to have another patented huge game. He will take five-plus runs and could easily break loose for two scores. Felton is going to be criminally under-owned and I will have plenty of GPP exposure.
Also Consider - Damonte Coxie, Myron Gailliard, Whop Philyor
