5 years agoThe New Orleans Pelicans will get back power forward/center Derrick Favors for Monday’s contest against the Brooklyn Nets after all. Favors, who entered the day questionable to play due to right knee soreness, was able to get through shootaround earlier in the day and has been given the green light to suit up. In his absence, Jahlil Okafor has starred in the frontcourt, so how head coach Alvin Gentry sorts out their minutes remains to be seen, as Okafor will get the start. In the three games that Favors has appeared this year, he has averaged just 20.3 minutes per game, but has been efficient in that span.--Jesse Borek
