Brandon Ingram Drops Career-High 40 Points In Defeat
5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans small/power forward Brandon Ingram was a scoring machine during his team’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, collecting a career-best 40 points while shooting 17-for-24 from the floor overall. There were some doubts about Ingram suiting up for the contest earlier in the day due to a head contusion that he had sustained in his previous outing, but all concerns were squelched as Ingram delivered a monster fantasy performance that was aided by his five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Ingram has now logged 19 or more field-goal attempts in five of his first seven games with New Orleans, an indication that this increased level of scoring may only just be beginning for the 22-year-old.
