5 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic continued his bizarre five-game statistical stretch in a 109-89 win over the Miami Heat. On Tuesday night he had nine points, five rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal while being limited with foul trouble the entire game. After starting the season with two triple-doubles in his first four games, Jokic has been strangely quiet for fantasy basketball owners. It's hard to complain about a player that can go for a triple-double any given night, but the Joker has only averaged 12.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.4 rebounds since the second game of the season. Fantasy managers shouldn't be ringing any alarm bells, but the Serbian did play deep into the playoffs last season and then spent all summer with his country at the World Cup. It could just be that Jokic is hitting an early-season bump and working his way through it, but things won't get easier to end Week 3 as he faces Joel Embiid and the 76ers on Friday, followed by Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves on Sunday.--Euan Leith
