5 years agoMiami Heat forward Jimmy Butler led his team with 16 points in a 109-89 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Butler was inefficient from the field, as only three of his 12 shots found their way into the basket on Tuesday night. However, he was able to go 10-for-12 from the free-throw line and get above the 15-point barrier for the third time in his first four games with his new team. Miami was down 20 points heading into the fourth quarter, and head coach Erik Spoelstra decided to pull his superstar for the entire quarter. His limited minutes shouldn't be a problem for the rest of Week 3, as the Heat face off against the surprisingly competitive Phoenix Suns and the new-and-improved Los Angeles Lakers in a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday.--Euan Leith
