Ja Morant Racks Up Third Straight 20-Plus Point Outing
5 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard JA Morant may not be seeing the workload that some of his fellow Western Conference backcourt mates are early in the season, but that hasn’t stopped him from putting the ball in the hoop with a high frequency, as evidenced during Wednesday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Morant played 29 minutes but shot 9-for-19 overall en route to a 26-point effort, his third straight game scoring over 20 points. Not a single shot came from long range, as Morant added four rebounds and four assists to his ledger. The 20-year-old has quickly proven to be a rising star in the league, even as his nightly workload remains capped to this point.
