Brandon Clarke Perfect From Field During 18-Point Night
5 years agoThe Memphis Grizzlies have more than one rookie starring early on in 2019-20, as power forward/center Brandon Clarke has joined JA Morant to make for an explosive rookie tandem. The team welcomed Jaren Jackson Jr. back to the starting five for Wednesday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Clarke made all seven shots that he took off the bench en route to an 18-point, eight-rebound evening. After a disappointing outing in his lone start, Clarke returned to his recent production by rejoining Memphis’ second unit. His minutes average (22.4 per game) makes him a tricky fantasy option in anything smaller than a 12- or 14-team league, but owners looking at the long-term may be intrigued by Clarke’s potential on both ends of the floor.
