Welcome to week 11 of the college football season! This is LSU @ Alabama week, and it's going to be a fun one. We're focusing on the main slate here, and make sure to check out the late slate article as well. This earlier slate is a blast and there is plenty of offense to go around. Let's dive in!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the late slate of games on FanDuel and DraftKings on 11/9/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.
It's an extremely fun slate ahead of us, with more than enough offense to go around. I'll be breaking down the later slate in a different article, so make sure to keep an eye out for that as well. Let's dive into some of the top plays at each position. You can follow me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. I will be around all day to answer questions.

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts - Oklahoma - FanDuel $12,000 / DraftKings $9,000
Jalen Hurts is the top quarterback on this slate and it’s not close. He hasn’t had a single bad game, eclipsing 36 fantasy points every single week. He now draws an Iowa State defense that’s given up 400+ yards to offenses far less prolific. Hurts isn’t expensive enough en either site to fade and there isn’t any other RB or WR you must have. You’re definitely taking a risk if Hurts isn’t in your lineup.
Lynn Bowden Jr. - Kentucky - FanDuel $9,100
Bowden Jr. ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns against a relatively tough Missouri team just last weekend. They aren’t throwing Bowden very much, but it doesn’t matter with the volume he’s seeing on the ground. Tennessee is a worse defense than Missouri and they’ve allowed nearly 170 yards per game on the ground. Bowden Jr. is going to have another 150 rushing yards and the upside is huge if they give him some freedom to sling it. Bowden Jr. is affordable on both sites and I’m a fan in all formats.
Also Consider - Anthony Gordon, Trevor Lawrence
FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Running Backs
Travis Ettiene - Clemson - FanDuel $9,600 / DraftKings $7,700
Ettiene is getting a healthy kid of carries in the last month and his ridiculous level of production is back. In the last three weeks, Ettiene has combined for 428 yards and four touchdowns. He now faces an NC State defense that is going to get pummeled by Clemson. We didn’t touch on Trevor Lawrence, but he’s very much in play as I expect Clemson to run this score up. Ettiene is a top-three back in the country and I don’t see a way he stays under 150 yards and two touchdowns. I love the match-up in all formats, though he’s admittedly tough to fit with Hurts.
Christopher Brown Jr. - California - FanDuel $7,400 / DraftKings $5,500
Outside of Ettiene, Christopher Brown Jr. is my favorite back for the price. If you remember back to the start of this season, Brown dominated before falling to an injury. He’s been back over 15 carries in most games and I expect him to easily get there in this one. Washington State is a fast-paced offense and Cal is going to run more plans than they have all season. They’re also going to want to keep the ball away from Anthony Gordon, and the best way to do that is with the running game. Brown is too cheap on both sites.
Rico Dowdle - South Carolina - FanDuel $7,200 / DraftKings $5,200
Dowdle is the do-it-all back for South Carolina and he’s back from injury after missing a few weeks. Word is that he’s a full-go, in which case he may see 20 touches. Appalachian State has a pretty decent defense, but they’re certainly weaker against the run. Dowdle is too cheap and deserves attention as long as he’s fully cleared.
Also Consider - Max Borghi, Breece Hall, Ty Chandler, Jafar Armstrong
FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers
Charlie Kolar - Iowa State - FanDuel $8,000 / DraftKings $5,100
We like Hurts and Ettiene a ton, so let’s save some at receiver. Charlie Kolar has been the number one target for the Cyclones and Brock Purdy is looking his way more than ever. Especially in the red-zone. Kolar is a dominant tight end and will be a name we see involved in future Sunday afternoons. This Oklahoma pass defense is brittle and Purdy could throw for 250 yards in his sleep against this team. Kolar is my favorite option for this price.
Lawrence Cager - Georgia - FanDuel $8,200 / DraftKings $5,300
Lawrence Cager stands out like crazy when you’re watching the game. His six-foot-five frame is way too fast and agile for his size. He dominated one of the best defenses in the nation last week and should get back to the pay dirt again here. Cager is a guy I love in all formats as his price hasn’t caught up to the production. Missouri was a solid defense to start the season, but they’ve been picked on as of late and Georgia should put up 30 points with relative ease.
Justyn Ross - Clemson - FanDuel $7,800 / DraftKings $5,900
Justyn Ross is my favorite receiver out of Clemson, but you can play Tee Higgins, Amari Rodgers, and Diondre Overton as they are all too cheap. Ross is the most consistent of the bunch, seeing seven or more targets in every game this year. His price is way too low and this match-up with Clemson is a great one. They’re going to lay on the points against a terrible NC State defense and I expect Ross to be over 100 yards.
Also Consider - Ceedee Lamb, Tee Higgins, Deshaunte Jones
