5 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic needed just 28 minutes to record his sixth double-double of the season in Thursday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets. Jokic, who shot 8-for-14 from the floor overall, scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out three assists all without turning the ball over. After having opened the season firmly in the MVP conversation, the Serbian sensation has seen his numbers ebb early on slightly below where they were in 2018-19. Having posted a double-double in just two of his past seven games, he looks to begin a new streak Sunday versus Memphis.--Jesse Borek
