5 years agoDenver Nuggets point/shooting guard Jamal Murray scored four points in Thursday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets, his first outing of the year that ended with him finishing in single digits. Not a whole lot went right for Murray offensively as he shot 1-for-11 overall, just the second time in the past two years that he has finished with one make or fewer. He did add five rebounds and four assists across his 29 minutes, but that wasn’t enough to rescue what amounts to a dud from Denver’s premier backcourt cog. A match-up with the Grizzlies on Sunday could be the right remedy for the sharpshooter, as Memphis has yielded 118.8 points per game, the fifth worst mark in the league through play Thursday.--Jesse Borek
