5 years agoHouston Rockets point guard Russell Westbrook will take the floor Friday against the Indiana Pacers, but will sit out the second leg of the team’s back-to-back Saturday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves due to rest purposes. Westbrook similarly sat out the second game of a back-to-back earlier in November, with the team attempting to limit the regular-season load of the 31-year-old. Without Westbrook in the mix, expect James Harden to firmly control Saturday’s contest, particularly against a Minnesota defensive unit that has allowed 116.2 points per game entering play Friday and will also be playing for their second consecutive night.--Jesse Borek
