Karl-Anthony Towns Continues 25-Point Scoring Streak In Defeat
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns took advantage of the depleted Houston frontcourt during Saturday’s loss, compiling 27 points and 15 rebounds across his 32 minutes. Towns has now scored 25 points or more in five consecutive and six of his last seven outings, having knocked down multiple three-pointers in each of those contests. Through 11 games, Towns is averaging 26.8 points per game, which is on pace to set a new career high. He runs into a difficult matchup Monday versus reigning two-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert and the notoriously stingy Jazz defensive unit. In four meetings with the club last season, Towns logged a double-double on three occasions.
