5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum took the lead role on offense in Tuesday's matchup against New Orleans with Damian Lillard (back) out, delivering a 22-point performance on 9-for-22 shooting. It was a pretty poor shooting night overall, but he did have a good 4-for-10 record from downtown, and he's now hit at least 40 percent of his triples in four straight games. McCollum finished things off on the night with five assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block. The Blazers resume their season on Thursday against the Bucks, who are a high-end defensive team, but they actually have a mediocre record against opposing shooting guards, giving up 22.3 points per 48 minutes.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
