5 years agoPhoenix Suns center Aron Baynes will be absent for the third straight game Saturday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a flexor strain in his right hip. Baynes has been a vital cog in Phoenix’s rotation in the wake of Deandre Ayton’s suspension, with the team having dropped its past two contests without Baynes in the mix. Frank Kaminsky has entered the starting five, but the team has largely chosen to deploy smaller lineups. It’s unclear who will check Karl-Anthony Towns on Saturday, but Minnesota’s star could be in a prime DFS position due to the Suns’ thin frontcourt. Baynes’ next chance to return to action comes Sunday versus Denver.--Jesse Borek
