LeBron James Notches Seventh Straight Double-Double In Win
5 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard/small forward LeBron James continued to rack up the assists during Friday’s victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, setting up 14 buckets for teammates in addition to 23 points of his own. James has averaged 11.3 assists per game over his first 15 contests, putting him firmly in the top spot in the league. His first year spent as a true point guard has been a revelation for the 34-year-old, who also added six rebounds in the win. Even with Rajon Rondo back in the fold, the Lakers have little incentive to go away from what has propelled them to a 13-2 start. James has another favorable matchup Saturday when he squares off with Grizzlies rookie JA Morant, whose Memphis squad has had a tough time checking opposing points guards early on in 2019-20.
