Trae Young Ties Career High With 49-Point Performance
5 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was a one-man show during Friday’s overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers as the second-year guard tied his career high in scoring with 49 points. He needed just 28 shots to reach the mark, knocking down 8-for-15 from behind the arc. Young has now notched at least 20 points in 11 of his last 12 games, additionally having recorded at least six assists in all of those contests. He added six more dimes Friday, although his lone blemish on his historic night was his season-high nine turnovers. Young will have a chance to continue his hot shooting Saturday when he faces Houston, although the high-octane Rockets are allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing point guards so far in 2019-20.
