5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans shooting guard J.J. Redick was relatively held in check by the Dallas Mavericks’ defense during Saturday’s defeat, but his 8-for-8 performance from the free-throw stripe helped him to lead his squad in scoring. It marked his second straight game pacing the Pelicans in points, as he also added two rebounds during his 24 minutes. With just one made triple, his streak of 13 consecutive games with multiple made threes was snapped, a run he will look to get going again Monday versus Detroit, who have had the second-fewest three-point attempts taken against them on a nightly basis so far this season.--Jesse Borek
